Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how MainDeck FZ-LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in the Crosscheck mobile application (the "App").

We designed Crosscheck to minimise data collection. We do not have accounts, and we do not identify users.

What We Do (and Don’t Do)

We do not:
- require accounts or logins
- collect personal details such as names or emails
- track users or use analytics
- collect persistent device identifiers
- build user profiles

We only process minimal data required to operate the App.

Information We Process

We use Apple’s DeviceCheck service to help detect abuse, prevent fraudulent activity, and enforce rate limits. DeviceCheck allows us to receive a device-specific attestation token from Apple in order to distinguish legitimate devices from abusive or automated use.

Apple may process certain technical information as part of providing this service. For more information, please refer to Apple’s privacy pilocy.

 

IP addresses may be temporarily processed as part of standard server operations, security logging, and fraud prevention. Where possible, IP-related data is minimised or pseudonymised and is automatically deleted within 24 hours.

Technical Data

We may process minimal technical metadata such as:
- timestamps
- request counts

This data is used solely to:
- maintain service reliability
- enforce rate limits

It is deleted within 24 hours.

Content Requests

When you request flight or weather data, necessary query information (such as airport codes) is sent to third-party providers.

This information:
- is not linked to your identity
- is not stored long-term by us

Content Caching

To improve performance, we cache:
- flight routing data
- airport-level weather data

This cache:
- is not linked to users
- is retained for up to 20 days

Legal Basis (EEA/UK)

Where applicable, we rely on legitimate interests to:
- operate and maintain the App
- prevent abuse
- improve performance

International Transfers

The App is supported by servers located in the United States.

Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied for international data transfers.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

We may share limited data with service providers strictly as necessary to operate the App.

Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party providers for flight and weather data.

Your use of such services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Apple (StoreKit)

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple Inc. through the App Store.

We do not receive or store your payment card information.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 on our contact form to help protect our website from spam and abuse.

reCAPTCHA is provided by Google LLC and works by analysing interactions on the website to determine whether a user is a human or an automated bot. This process may involve the collection of certain information, including IP address, device and browser information, and user behaviour on the page.

reCAPTCHA is only active on the page that contains our contact form and is not used elsewhere on our website.

We rely on our legitimate interest in protecting our website from spam and misuse as the legal basis for using this service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Where required, reCAPTCHA will only be loaded after you have provided your consent via our cookie banner.

Data Retention

- IP-related data: deleted within 24 hours
- Technical metadata: deleted within 24 hours
- Cached content: retained up to 20 days

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect data.

However, no system is completely secure.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction).

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, deletion, objection, or restriction.

Because we do not identify users, we may not be able to link requests to specific data.

EU / UK Users

You may contact your local supervisory authority.

California Users

We do not sell or share personal information.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
